With projects like Varisu, Prince, RC15, and Rajamouli's upcoming SSMB29, composer Thaman is currently the bustling and most prominent composer. While his musical Varisu, which is anticipated to be released by the next Pongal, will undeniably give a grand output, the date for the release of the first single has just raised expectations.

Due to the film's Friday release, Thaman attended the Prince pre-release event in Hyderabad yesterday. Speaking at the event, he stated, "Me and cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa are shooting for one song in Vijay sir's film, which we are releasing for Diwali. He's shooting with me. I am announcing this for the first time on this stage." 

He spilled the beans a day later after the film's music composer had posted a story on his Instagram page hinting that something is coming this Diwali, on Monday. Vijay idols couldn't keep calm as they stormed social media, with the hashtag #VarisuFirstSingle as they got a relish piece of news that the first single from Varisu would probably get released during this Diwali. 

Vijay's Varisu will hit the screens by Pongal 2023. Bankrolled by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vijay plays the lead role and Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Khushbu, and Sangeetha Krish play important roles. Thaman composed the music and KL Praveen and Karthik Palani have done editing and cinematography respectively.
