In what has become a piece of relishing news for the ardent Vijay fans, the actor's latest movie 'Beast' is all set to get released on an OTT platform, three weeks after its theatrical release. The development has swiftly got major attention and it will be getting released in five languages. 

Beast will be streaming on Netflix and you can watch the movie from May 11. Netflix India took to Twitter on Wednesday - May 4 and wrote, "May your day get meaner, leaner, stronger (sic). Because Beast is coming to Netflix on 11th May in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi." It has also been reported that Beast will also be streaming on Sun NXT from May 11. Though Beast has grossed well commercially, it has opened to mixed reviews that were weighed by negative reviews from the critics and even from a section of fans. 

Following Master, Beast is also getting released on OTT in a shorter span of time since the theatrical release and Beast will be the first movie for Vijay in recent years to have a release on Netflix. While Beast was bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner Sun Pictures, it is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. While Vijay played the lead role, Pooja Hedge, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu, Aparna Das, and Lilliput had played important roles. 

On the work front, Vijay is currently in an outing with Telugu director Vamsi Paidapally for his next movie which has been tentatively named 'Thalapathy 66'. It is produced by Dil Raju and while Vijay plays the lead role, Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead and the music is composed by Thaman.
