The political wheel in Tamil Nadu has been spinning with the anticipations of Rajinikanth's political entry despite the actor hasn't made any official statement about his politics. The wheel comprised of the political parties - some are waiting to welcome and shape the actor as a politician while the others have been droning the developments to oppose and to criticize the actor's political entry.
Recently, Rajini's closest aide Tamilaruvi Manian has torched the fresh speculations about the actor's political episode and he stated that the PMK party is likely to ally with Rajini to form a coalition as the talks have been completed. While his statement revealed that PMK would likely be the first party to back the actor, it has, however, quaked the ADMK party which observes an alliance with PMK in what it can be described as the alliance game has been started with the party that is yet to be launched.
PMK founder Ramadoss has been one of the fierce critics against the Tamil actors. When Rajini's 'Baba' hit the big screens, Ramadoss strongly criticized the actor and he has kept his notion strongly and deeply against the actor but recently, Ramadoss statements about the actor were made with the essence of less criticism. While the reporters asked him about Manian's assertion, Ramadoss had neither denied nor criticized the actor. Our sources close to the developments of PMK have revealed that the recent changes with Ramadoss were due to Anbumani Ramadoss's closeness to the actor and with the motive of allying with Rajinikanth.
We inquired about the political developments surfacing around Rajinikanth, PMK, and ADMK. The sources close to PMK have stated that if Rajini hasn't launched his political bid, the ruling ADMK coalition, and the opposition DMK coalition would be rivaling each other in 2021 legislative elections. PMK leader Ramadoss was told that DMK has larger prospects of winning the election against the ADMK and he has been strongly shaping his politics against DMK with which he is trying to barricade Stalin's elevation as Chief Minister. Ramadoss has been formulating many reasons to defeat DMK including that if PMK fails to become a power-centric party in the next elections, it wouldn't have the possibility of getting elevated in the future and with the view of enhancing the stronghold, the party has been eyeing to get close to Rajinikanth.
Ramadoss and Anbumani were told with the assertion that Rajinikanth would be launching his political party soon and the sources say that Anbumani is hoping to get allied with Rajini through which the coalition of Rajini-BJP-PMK would be formed. As part of his plan to knot the coalition, Anbumani has recently met Rajinikanth and it was the meeting that made Ramadoss lower his criticism against the actor. When we inquired about the developments with the sources close to Rajini's circle, they say that Anbumani met Rajinikanth at the actor's farmhouse in Kelambakkam, Chennai and during the meet, Anbumani had invited Rajini to direct electoral politics. He stated that Rajini's politics would bring a change in Tamil Nadu and asserted that the coalition would lead to a significant change in politics. Our sources stated that Rajinikanth had welcomed the move and stated that Tamil Nadu politics must be changed and accepted to have talks in the future.
The sources further reveal that the meeting had gripped up the relation between Anbumani and Rajinikanth as the actor is also hoping to unite with PMK. Rajini's plan of joining with PMK has been crafted with accord to BJP's policy of defeating DMK and he feels that PMK and its strongholds have been doing politics against DMK and that politics would, in turn, favor his political growth. Amid the developments, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami had recently directed the state intelligence unit to drone PMK-Rajini's relations. Our sources cited that the unit had confirmed such a move after which ADMK directly reached out to Ramadoss following which Ramadoss stated that the party is still in alliance with ADMK and will be in alliance in the upcoming elections in the state.
When we inquired about the recent updates with BJP's advisers, they say that the PMK party has been camping several members who have been dissatisfied and discontent with the party's leadership and they have been looking to pull themselves out from the party and these members have neither fond of joining ADMK nor DMK, instead, they have been trying to sail on the ship captained by the reputed actors like Rajini as they can easily get a higher posts in the new political party. The advisers further stated that with the view of blocking their departure from the party and to increase the seat-sharing from the ADMK party, the PMK's central leadership has been portraying that the party is getting closer to Rajinikanth. Our sources say that the Central BJP has been attempting to form a mega alliance with Rajinikanth with its motive of defeating the DMK.
