The upcoming movie ‘Thalapathy 68’, starring Vijay in the lead role, has been creating a lot of buzz among the fans and the media. The movie, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu, is said to be a mass entertainer with a lot of twists and turns. The movie also features Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Sathish, and Anirudh Ravichander in pivotal roles.

Now, the latest news is that actor Prashanth, who is known for his 90s movies like ‘Jeans’, ‘Chocolate’, and ‘Jodi’, has been roped in to play an important role in the movie. According to sources, Prashanth will be seen as a close friend of Vijay’s character, who helps him in his mission. Prashanth’s role is said to be crucial for the plot and he will have some action sequences as well.

Prashanth, who made his comeback with ‘Andhagan’, the Tamil remake of ‘Andhadhun’, still yet to be out.  ‘Thalapathy 68’ is expected to go on floors soon and the makers are planning to release it in 2024. The movie will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni.

And according to reports, Thalapathy 68 will be an action thriller with a twist. The film will also feature SJ Suryah as the main antagonist. SJ Suryah has previously worked with Vijay as an actor in Mersal and as a director in Kushi.The movie is produced by AGS Entertainment Productions. The fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on this mega project.
