Ponniyin Selvan 2: Makers share a new sneak peek video featuring the fan favorite duo!

As the release date of Ponniyin Selvan 2 approaches, the makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to create a buzz around the epic historical drama. The makers of Ponniyin Selvan 2 have released a new sneak peek video featuring Karthi and Jayaram and teased fans to witness the magnum opus tale of Cholas.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Lyca Productions wrote, "The inseparable duo! Check out the sneak peek from #PS2 featuring our favourite #Vanthiyathevan and #Nambi!". The one-minute video shows the camaraderie and loyalty between the two characters, who are pivotal to the plot of the film.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 is the second part of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel of the same name. The film boasts of a star-studded cast, including Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj and R Parthiban. The film is set to hit the theatres on April 28.

The story is set in the 10th century and follows the journey of Prince Arulmozhi Varman, who eventually becomes the legendary king Rajaraja Chola. The film promises to be an epic drama that captures the essence of the novel in a cinematic experience, where the first part bagged over 500 crores in box office collection.

The music for the film is composed by AR Rahman, produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, with cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by A Sreekar Prasad. The film is expected to be a visual spectacle that will transport the audience to the glorious era of the Chola dynasty, as the first part spectacularly won hearts.
