The lady superstar of Kollywood, Nayanthara, has completed 20 glorious years in the film industry. On this occasion, she took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note for her fans, who have been her constant source of strength and motivation.
In her note, she wrote, "This one goes out to you, my fans. You have been the reason why I still stand here after 20 years. You have been the heartbeat of my career, my driving force & the reason why I got up every time I was knocked down. Without you, this journey is incomplete. To all my fans near and far- you are special."
She further added, “You are the magic that transforms each project into more than just a film. As I celebrate this milestone, it’s YOU I’m celebrating- the incredible, supportive, and inspiring force that has shaped these two decades in cinema.”
Nayanthara, who made her debut in 2003 with the Malayalam film Manassinakkare, has gone on to become one of the most successful and versatile actresses in the South. She has starred in over 70 films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, and has won several awards and accolades for her performances.
She has also been a trailblazer for women-centric films, breaking stereotypes and proving her mettle as a solo lead. Some of her notable films include Chandramukhi, Billa, Raja Rani, Maya, Aramm, Kolamavu Kokila, Netrikann, Nanum Rowdy Thaan, and Imaikka Nodigal.
She was last seen in Annapoorani, directed by Nilesh Krissna, and Jawan, her first Bollywood debut which was directed by Atlee. She married filmmaker Vignesh Shivan last year and had adorable twin sons Uyir and Ulag, who often share adorable pictures of themselves on social media.
