Vetrimaaran has a string of consistently promising films like Adukalam, Vadachennai, and Asuran in his store, and now he's getting ready to release his next massive project, Viduthalai, in which actor Soori plays the lead role for the first time. The movie is adapted from the short story 'Thunaivan' written by Jeyamohan.
The film will be released in two parts, as per reports. The shooting of the first part has been completed and the shooting of the second part is currently underway. Soori, who features as a police officer in the film, shared few pictures from the sets on Monday, captioning "Not a studio… A real jungle #Viduthalai Viduthalai Shooting spot". The picture has the actor enjoying some real forestry view when the sun goes down.
Interestingly, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi joins hands with Vetrimaaran for the first time, and he plays the role of teacher. The film also has Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Rajeev Menon, Bhavani Shri, Chetan who are the key players in the film. Viduthalai will be distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
Produced by Elred Kumar under the banner of RS Infotainment, The music is composed by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. While Velraj has done cinematography, Peter Hein is the stunt director. Major scenes of the movie were filmed in Sathyamangalam, Dindigul's Sirumalai, and Panrutty.
