Vignesh Shivan, the popular director of ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ and ‘Thaanaa Serndha Koottam’, is gearing up for his next film ‘Love Insurance Corporation’ or ‘LIC’ for short. The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan, the director-turned-actor who made his debut in ‘Comali’, as the lead hero. The film is said to be a comedy-drama revolving around the relationship between couple.

Earlier, there were reports that Vignesh Shivan’s lady love and superstar Nayanthara would be playing a pivotal role in the film. It was speculated that Nayanthara would be seen as Pradeep Ranganathan’s elder sister, who is also his mentor. However, the latest buzz is that Nayanthara is no longer part of the project due to her high remuneration.

According to sources, the makers of ‘LIC’ reportedly could not afford to pay her such a hefty sum and decided to drop her from the cast. Vignesh Shiva is now on a hunt for a suitable replacement for Nayanthara. The director is looking for a talented and popular actress who can match Nayanthara’s charisma and screen presence.

Who will be the new sister in ‘LIC’? Will it be another big name or a fresh face? We will have to wait and watch as Vignesh Shivan finalizes the cast and crew of his film.The film also boasts of a stellar technical team, including cinematographer Ravi Varman and editor Pradeep E Ragav.

The film is produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio, who had also backed Lokesh Kanagaraj’s blockbuster ‘Leo’. Meanwhile, the film's first look is said to be unveiled on February 14, on the occasion to the Valentine day.
