Acclaimed director Mysskin, who just expressed that his next film with Vijay Sethupathi, has expressed his desire to work with another Vijay in the near future, who is currently shooting for his 67th film Leo with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film was announced this year with fanfare reception, and slated to release on this year October.
Mysskin, who is also playing a minor role in Leo as a gangster, revealed that he has been in touch with Vijay for a long time and they have discussed the possibility of collaborating on a project that would satisfy both their artistic visions and the expectations of the fans.
“Very soon I will do a very, very interesting film with Vijay. It will be a pan-Indian film. But, I’m not in a hurry,” Mysskin said in a recent interview. He added that he is willing to wait patiently for a couple of years to find the perfect script and the right time to join hands with Vijay.
Mysskin is known for his unconventional and dark films that explore the themes of crime, psychology, and human nature. Some of his notable works include Anjathe, Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum, Thupparivaalan, and Psycho. He has also acted in several films such as Nandalala, Super Deluxe, and Maaveeran.
It would be interesting to see how Mysskin and Vijay would blend their contrasting styles and genres in their proposed pan-Indian film. Fans are already excited about the prospect of seeing their favorite star in a different avatar under Mysskin’s direction.
Meanwhile, Vijay is gearing up for the release of Leo, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Seven Screen Studios. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, late actor Manobala, and Janany Kunaseelan.
The digital and satellite rights of the film were acquired by Netflix and Sun TV Network respectively. Meanwhile Mysskin’s next film with Vijay Sethupathi is Pisasu 2 and it is a sequel to his 2014 horror film Pisasu. The film also features Andrea Jeremiah, and others in pivotal roles.
