MK Alagiri's new plan to revolt the DMK party - What's going on?

Amid the Coronavirus outbreak, the state of Tamil Nadu has also been coming through political developments which particularly circles DMK party in recent times as ousted DMK leader and former Union Minister MK Alagiri has been finding the time to enhance his stronghold in the party that has been headed by his brother turned rival MK Stalin. 

Our sources say that Alagiri has been preparing to launch his own political party to revolt against the DMK and he would likely launch his party on June 3rd, 2020 which is the birth anniversary of Alagiri's father and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Karunanidhi. Alagiri has been observing closest ties with Actor and political hopeful Rajinikanth and the Central ruling BJP party.

Alagiri still holds hundreds of supporters behind him and his political entry has been the hot topic on the political grounds on whether he would ally with Rajinikanth and BJP, who are strongest rivals for DMK's leadership. Stalin's faction has been eyeing the developments from Madurai, the home town of Alagiri and Stalin has been removing the members from the party who are known to be the strongest supporters for Alagiri.

Recently, Stalin has fired KP Ramalingam from his party's post of district secretary of the party's agricultural wing. Ramalingam has been known as a supporter of Alagiri. Stalin has demanded the state ruling party to convene the all-parties meeting to discuss the Coronavirus outbreak. However, Ramalingam said that the all-parties meet is not necessary and he lauded the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister. Through the sources, Stalin was told that Ramalingam has been revolting the party from the directive from Alagiri after which he was removed from the party's role.

Along with that, Ramalingam was also dissatisfied after the party hasn't awarded him the Rajya Sabha ticket. On Thursday, Stalin officially announced that Ramalingam has been temporarily suspended from the party's membership and his responsibilities and Stalin cited that Ramalingam has been involving in the anti-party activities for which he has been suspended.
