Despite the strong widespread campaign to curb the arms of piracy and its associates, Tamil Cinema and movie industries across the country have interminably been falling prey to the piracy sites amid the appeals from the celebrities and directives from the court to restrict such sites from heisting and releasing the movies illegally. Revealing its high dominance, Vijay's much-anticipated 'Master' has now become the latest victim after being pirated, and the piracy sites have released the movie online in a high-definition.
The development that the movie has been pirated by the illegalities has put Vijay, the movie team, and the ardent fans of Thalapathy into a deep shock as the movie was pirated on the first day of the official release. According to reports, the piracy sites such as Tamilrockers and Telegram had released the full movie on their sites and the film is available in HD quality for free download. The reports say that the movie team has been working out to remove the movie from these sites, bracing up the trouble of making sure that the development won't adversely affect the movie and its revenue.
However, the piracy that happened amidst the strong vigil and regulations might affect the box office collection of the film, though it has received a grand reception. The movie has been pirated days after some of the clips were leaked online. These few clips had risen the predictions of the storyline of the movie. Following the leakage, the movie team including producer Xavier Britto, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and music director Anirudh had appealed to the people not to share these leaked contents.
Along with the movie team, several fans and celebrities had appealed to everyone to reject piracy sites and watch the movie in the theaters. As the movie released across and beyond Tamil Nadu on January 13, the ardent fans of Vijay had given a royal welcome to Master on his classy arrival. While the fans and movie have relished the release after the slew of challenges, many queued up before the theaters and celebrated Master Pongal through watching FDFS. However, their celebration didn't last long after the movie has now been caught up with the fresh trouble after being preyed on by the piracy sites.
Amid enjoying Vijay's Pongal treat, the fans and the movie team have gone perplexed on how this piracy was made possible despite a strong vigil and campaign. It must be noted that Master is not the only movie that has been leaked within hours of its release. Notable movies like Rajini's 'Darbar', Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru', and Vijay Sethupathi's 'Ka Pae Ranasingam' had also been pirated and leaked online within hours of the release.
On the other hand, Thalapathy fans had gathered outside the cinema halls in the early morning to enjoy watching the first show in the theaters. The cinema halls across the city and state have been witnessing great crowds as the fans throng to watch the movie. Master is bankrolled by Xavier Britto under the banner of XB Film Creators while Lokesh Kanagaraj has directed the movie, which marks the first collaboration for 'Kaithi' director to work with Vijay.
While Vijay will be playing the role of the college professor, Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist, and Malavika Mohanan in the female lead. Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Gauri Kishan will be playing important roles. The fans have been sharing their reviews on social media, which had shown that the movie has got a decent reception.
