The streaming giant, dropped the awaited update that the Malayalam drama is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Kaathal The Core marks the first collaboration between Mammootty and Jyotika, who are two of the most popular and versatile actors in the South Indian film industry. The narrative kicks off with Mathew Devassy, portrayed by Mammootty, entering a by-election for a ward in their gram panchayat.

Mathews Pulickan's musical compositions, Salu K. Thomas's cinematography, and Francies Louis's editing contribute to the creative team of the film. This film marks the return of Jyotika to Malayalam cinema after a hiatus of 12 years, her last appearance being in 'Seetha Kalyanam' in 2009.
