Sivakarthikeyan, known for his impeccable comic timing and massive appeal, gears up to mesmerize the audience with his upcoming flick, Maaveeran, helmed by the talented director, Madonne Ashwin. The film is slated to hit theatres on July 14 2023.
Now the exciting revelation by the director states that, this fantasy comedy is about to take on a whimsical journey, delving into the life of a comic artist and his comic. Aditi Shankar, daughter of the acclaimed director Shankar, takes another lead along with the actor.
In an recent interview , Madonne Ashwin spilled the beans on the film's intriguing premise and its creation. He revealed that the film is a concept-driven fantasy that sets itself apart by relying on pure imagination rather than heavy CGI.
And about Sivakarthikeyan's character, he added that it was drawn inspiration from none other than the legendary Superstar Rajinikanth's iconic portrayal in Thalapathy, and that intriguing title, Maaveeran shall be revealed in the first five minutes of the film. He also added that one fight sequence will be in popular actor Jackie Chan style, where it'll be mixed with this fantasy element in a fun way.
Madonne Ashwin didn't embark on this creative adventure alone. He also sought the guidance of his dear friend and the brilliant director of Leo, Lokesh Kanagaraj. He said that Lokesh showered him with a plethora of ideas and inputs, propelling Maaveeran to new heights.
The film's talented ensemble cast including Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Saritha, Sunil, and many others in pivotal roles. The soul-stirring music is composed by the gifted Bharath Shankar, while the captivating visuals are captured by the brilliant Vidhu Ayyanna, and the seamless editing is a result of the finesse of Philomin Raj. And Maaveeran will simultaneously release in Telugu as Mahaveerudu.
The makers of Maaveeran have already dropped two mesmerizing songs, igniting a wave of positive response from fans. And that's not all. An enchanting audio launch scheduled for July 2 in the vibrant city of Chennai. Sivakarthikeyan's very own banner, SK Productions, in association with 24AM Studios, presents this film.
