Maamannan: This top tamil star praises the political thriller ahead of its release!

The highly anticipated Tamil film "Maamannan," featuring the stellar ensemble of Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, Vadivelu, and Fahadh Faasil, is poised to grace the silver screens tomorrow, June 29, 2023. Crafted under the directorial finesse of Mari Selvaraj and produced by Udhayanidhi himself, under his esteemed banner Red Giant Movies, this cinematic gem unfurls as a gripping political thriller.

The film delves into the intricate tale of a marginalized community ensnared in the clutches of a formidable and influential figure, sheltered by those in power. Amid the fervor surrounding the impending release, one prominent admirer stands out — none other than the celebrated actor Dhanush.

Privileged to witness the film ahead of its official unveiling, Dhanush took to Twitter to shower accolades upon "Maamannan," extending a resounding shout-out to this mesmerizing creation. He penned, "Maamannan by @mari_selvaraj is an emotion  A big hug to you Mari. Vadivelu sir and @Udhaystalin have delivered a very convincing performance. Great work from Fahadh and @KeerthyOfficial. Theatres are gonna erupt for the interval block. finally @arrahman sir BEAUTIFUL".

Udhayanidhi plays Athiveeran, a man who collects evidence to expose the corruption and injustice of the antagonist, played by Fahadh Faasil. Vadivelu plays the titular role, Mamannan who also supports Athiveeran in his mission. Keerthy Suresh plays Samba Lal, Athiveeran’s companion,  and a communist.

The music is composed by none other than A.R. Rahman, who has collaborated with Mari Selvaraj for the first time. Dhanush’s tweet has gone viral on social media and has increased the expectations for the movie among his fans and followers.
