From the word 'One more accused', it can be easily understood that the five-star treatments for the convicts and accused in the prisons are neither new nor would come to an end. Previously, we have seen some of the convicts who have been enjoying the high-class services within the prison premises despite they have been sentenced for serious crimes. 

The videos that aired from the prison hold the testament of how they have been treated by the prison authorities and what kind of facilities they have got to spend their prison sentence. Adding to the line, the accused who have been lodged in Puzhal prison with connection to the unprecedented TNPSC Scam that exposed recently has been given with high-class hospitality by the prison officials and our sources reveal that the level of hospitality would surpass any of such preceding ones in recent times that bring more skepticism on how the accused would be treated during the investigations.

Jayakumar has been accused of committing the racket in the TNPSC scam that shocked the state's vigilance mechanisms and the people. He allegedly altered the answers of the candidates who have bribed him and made some of the unfit candidates to secure top ranks in Group 4 TNPSC exams that held in September 2019. While, on one hand, the TNPSC had barred 99 candidates from appearing for the exams for the lifetime, on the other hand, the probe has been initiated by the CB-CID department.

Jayakumar was lodged under judicial custody for further interrogations in Puzhal prison in Chennai and our sources reveal that he has been given with the facilities that are beyond what he is supposed to get. He has been given with special room, served with special meals, enhanced sanitation facilities, and provided with whatever food he asks for and along with the hospitality, the sources stated that the CB-CID has been attempting to acquit Jayakumar from the investigations. When we asked one of the prison officials, he said Jayakumar has been lodged in Block 2 of the prison just because of giving him the special room. This block, which has high security, is meant for lodging the terrorists and criminals.

He precisely stated, from describing that Jayakumar is lodged in prison, it must be described that he has been put up in a suite room with more safety and without any disturbance. The authorities have been providing food of what he asked and even the probe team had tried to make him flee from the probe and as part of the plan, the authorities have decided to take him to Stanley government hospital by citing his health issues in February 18th. However, the plan was dropped after the doctors in prison avowed that they would be brought under consequences.

When we reached out to Senthamaraikannan, the Superintendent of Police, Puzhal prison, he denied the allegations and said that Jayakumar has been served with the food prescribed by the prison authorities. He stated that as per the Prisoners Cash Property regulation, an inmate can purchase foods and snacks in the prison through the money the inmate has. He claimed that the western style of sanitation is not the illegitimate offer and it depends upon the health conditions of the inmate. Some of the officers close to the developments say that the high profile inmates like Jayakumar would adjust the prison authorities towards acquiring the high-class treatments.
