Actor Jayam Ravi has finally put to rest rumours about his collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Speculations were rife about the actor being directed by the Vikram filmmaker after a picture of the two of them surfaced on social media. However, Jayam Ravi clarified about this during promotional interview for his next Agilan.
He stated in the interview of the popular media house, "Lokesh Kanagaraj had told me a story after completing Maanagaram. But we were unable to complete the project due to unforeseen circumstances. When he was shooting for Vikram, our Agilan project was also shooting there, and the picture was taken during that time. So, I'm not acting in his films."
Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan, has an exciting lineup of films that he's currently working on. Agilan, directed by N. Kalayan Krishnan, is set to release in theatres on March 10, and fans can't wait to see the actor in action. This flick marks the actor’s 28th film and this will be his first 2023 release as Ponniyin Selvan 2 to be release on April 28th.
According to various reports, Jayam Ravi stars in the film as a crane operator and a customs officer, Priya Bahvani Shankar plays the role of the police officer. Harish Uthaman, Chirag Jani, Hareesh Peradi, Madhusudhan Rao Tarun Arora, and Tanya Ravichandran plays the pivotal roles. The music is composed by Sam CS and the film was produced by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Private Limited.
On the other hand Jayam Ravi has Iraivan, Siren and JR30 directed by M Rajesh in the pipeline. The second part of Ponniyin Selvan is also expected to release in April, and the actor's fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of update on Thani Oruvan 2 too, as his brother director opened about the exciting official development. With such a jam-packed schedule, it's clear that Jayam Ravi is one of the busiest actors in the industry, and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
