Putting weight behind his political aspirations, Vijay has vowed during Tuesday's meeting that he will stop acting movies if he enters politics. The outfit has been seen as the actor's political arm and it has a significant grassroots establishment across the state. The members of the outfit were instrumental in organizing the toppers' meeting in Chennai and it was a huge success and a huge stage for the actor to talk about his political aspirations.

The meeting on Tuesday was organized at the outfit's office and while addressing the fuctionaries, Vijay has announced that he will quit acting completely if he enters politics. He cited that his acting shouldn't deter his political aspirations and that he has to quit acting to concentrate on politics. Vijay has also thanked the district functionaries and other members of the outfit for the success of the event in June in which he felicitated the toppers.

It has been reported that Vijay has planned to meet all the district secretaries for the next two days and it is the first time that the actor is convening a meeting with his lieutenants for consecutive days. The VMI has been organizing several welfare programmes and the outfit's social outreach has recently been surged with more on-ground events including providing food to street dwellers.

In the 2021 local body polls, the VMI members had contested in 169 seats across the state and won 115 seats. During addressing his first-of-its-kind event of felicitating the students, Vijay asked students to study about the leaders like Ambedkar, Periyar, and Kamarajar, and urged them not to seek money for the votes.

The actor has also highlighted that the students are the voters of tomorrow and asked them to advise their parents not to get money for votes. Earlier, there were talks that Vijay has decided to take a break from acting for three years to concentrate on his political entry.
