Expelled ADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala has drawn a large magnitude of the political spotlight in the state ever since she arrived in Chennai after completing a four-year prison sentence. She arrived in Chennai on February 9 and she has been staying at her relative Krishnapriya's house in T Nagar, Chennai. 

Amid the rising speculations over her political comeback and her drive of taking over the control of ADMK ahead of the assembly polls, Sasikala remained unspoken and it took nearly two weeks to break her silence and to address her supporters for the first time since her arrival in the city. She addressed her supporters on Wednesday - February 24 during the 73rd birth anniversary of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. There were some political leaders who met her on Wednesday and now, Thaniyarasu, the Chief of Tamil Nadu Kongu Ilaignar Peravai, has revealed that he will definitely meet Sasikala soon. 

On Wednesday, VK Sasikala had paid floral tribute to Jayalalithaa at her residence in T Nagar in the presence of his nephew TTV Dhinakaran and her supporters. Following the floral tribute, Sasikala had addressed the supporters during which she asked the true cadres of Amma (Jayalalithaa) to come together to work towards forming Jayalalithaa's government. 

Sasikala, who was the expelled ADMK General Secretary, said, "Supporters of Jayalalithaa should come together and our aim should be what Jayalalithaa had told us- ADMK should rule the state for 100 years. We should keep that always in our hearts. All the cadres must ensure that the party wins and we should form Jayalalithaa's government. I believe we will do it because you are the true supporters of Jayalalithaa. You all will make it possible and I'll meet the public and cadres soon". 

The reports say that through her address, Sasikala had called the supporters to defeat DMK and given a huge shock to the ADMK leaders that she is preparing to unite the members and take the party under her control and she also had displayed to claim Jayalalithaa's legacy. On Wednesday, there was a slew of surprises from Sasikala's camp as some of the political leaders had raised the eyebrows of many after marching towards her residence to meet her. 

Firstly, actor turned politician Sarathkumar, who is the Chief of Samathuva Makkal Katchi which observes alliance with ADMK, had met Sasikala along with his wife Radhika Sarathkumar. As the next assembly polls near, the political observers say that Sarathkumar had discussed politics and the possible alliance with Sasikala if she takes control of the ADMK party. However, while addressing the reporters, Sarathkumar maintained that they had met Sasikala to enquire about her health condition, as she had recovered from the COVID-19 viral infection. 

Following Sarathkumar, veteran movie directors Bharathiraja and Ameer had arrived at Sasikala's residence and met her. In what has become huge development that surprised many, Seeman, who is the Chief of Naam Tamilar Katchi, had arrived to meet Sasikala.  Seeman has been a strong critic of ADMK and Jayalalithaa and his sudden visit to meet Jayalalithaa's closest confidant had stirred speculations about whether Sasikala is in talks of forming a third front against DMK and ADMK. 

Amid such developments, Thaniyarasu has now revealed that he will definitely meet Sasikala soon. Speaking to us, he said he will meet the expelled ADMK General Secretary. His statement had further sparked anticipations as Sasikala is uniting the allies of the ADMK party. It must be underlined that Thaniyarasu has been serving as the MLA from the Kangayam constituency and he has been observing close ties with the ADMK and Sarathkumar has also been maintaining an alliance in the state ruling party. 

As the assembly polls near, the allied leaders, instead of meeting current ADMK leaders Edappadi Palaniswami and Panneerselvam, are interested to meet Sasikala for the possible talks on politics. The supporters of Sasikala have already been claiming that Sasikala still is in ADMK and she will become General Secretary of the party and for this reason, the allied leaders of ADMK are meeting her. While Sarathkumar had already met her, Thaniyarasu has said that he will meet her soon, and it has been expected that another allied leader of ADMK Actor Karunas will also meet her ahead of the polls. 

The political observers say that in order to resurge strongly towards taking the control of ADMK, Sasikala has been advancing towards covering the allied state leaders of the ADMK, and armed with the support of AMMK members, she will soon address the supporters on her political plan over her assertion that she will definitely plunge into active politics.
