A 27-year- old female government veterinary doctor, who went missing on Wednesday, was found charred to death under the flyover at the jurisdiction of Shadnagar police station, Hyderabad on the wee hours of Thursday. After being identified with conformity, the police officials have been speculating that she could have been killed and the suspects could have allegedly carried her body to another place, where she was set ablaze.
The background of the abhorrent crime:
The victim, aged 27, is a resident of Shamshabad and she was working as a veterinary doctor at Kollur in Mahbubnagar district and she often used to visit the skin clinic in Gachibowli area of Hyderabad and, on Wednesday, she left her home as usual to the skin clinic around 5.50 pm on her two-wheeler. After she arrived in Thonudpally toll plaza, she parked her vehicle near to the toll plaza following which she took a cab to reach Gachibowli.
After visiting the skin clinic, she was on her way back to the home on the same route and she arrived at the toll plaza during which she called her sister at 9.22 pm and during the call, she informed her sister that she was approached by a stranger- a lorry driver- who told her that her two wheeler's tire was punctured and he offered his help of repairing the tire despite her denial. She told her sister that his suspicious presence had scared her. The veterinary doctor asked her sister to keep talking to her over the phone. However, after some time the lorry driver has returned with her vehicle by stating that all the puncture shops were closed.
The reports say that this was the last phone call between the sisters where the doctor's phone went switched off when her family members tried to reach her at 9.44 pm. The victim's sister had lodged a police complaint with the Shamshabad police by citing that her sister hadn't returned home and her phone was switched off. While the police have been investigating to locate her whereabouts, they received information on the wee hours of Thursday where the informer told the police that he had seen the body of woman burning under the flyover in Chattanpally village.
After rushing to the spot, the police had identified the body that was covered in the rug on which the assailants torched the fire and the police have found a scarf few feet away from the body and the locket of Lord Ganesh around her neck following which the police had called on the family members and by having the evidence, they confirmed the body as the missing doctor. Upon the confirmation, they had recovered the remains and initiated a probe to locate the suspects.
During the probe, the police found that the doctor was killed in a remote place near to the toll plaza and the suspects had shifted her body and her scooter to the outskirts of Chattanpally where they burnt her. The police commissioner of Cyberabad has said that the suspects knew the area where they burnt the woman and stated that about ten special teams were formed to detain the suspects. The police suspect the involvement of two or more persons behind the crime and revealed that the body had been burnt to at least 70 percent.
