Happy birthday Vijay: 'Varisu' team drops the second look poster...Third poster on the way!

On the occasion of actor Vijay's 48th birthday, the team of his upcoming movie 'Varisu' has on Wednesday dropped the second look poster, a day after announcing the movie title. The ardent fans of Thalapathy Vijay have been celebrating his birthday and posters have become a super treat to them. With a minor setback in the Beast, the fans expect that Varisu from the Tollywood team would give a great comeback to the actor. 

The movie has been slated for a theatrical release during the Pongal 2023. Releasing the second look poster on Wednesday, the makers wrote on social media, "Let us all come together to celebrate Varisu for Pongal 2023." In the poster, Vijay has sported a joyful face and is surrounded by children. He is seen travelling in a vegetable truck and the poster has got a huge reception. 

As the second look poster of Varisu has been dropped, the movie team is all set to unveil the third look poster at 5.02 pm on Wednesday - June 22 as fans relish the double treat. The first look poster was released on Tuesday along with the movie title and it has carried the caption "The Boss Returns". The movie is being made as an action drama and it is the first time Vijay has teamed up with the Tollywood makers. The principal photography began in April 2022 in Chennai. 

The first schedule of the movie took place on a specially erected set in a film city in Chennai. Initially, 75% of the shoot was planned to take place in Hyderabad. However, Vijay has requested the production to remain in Chennai to benefit the local movie workers. Some of the portions in the movie were shot in Hyderabad from May 3 to May 23 this year. 

While Varisu is helmed by Vamshi Paidapally, the movie is bankrolled by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. While Vijay plays the lead role, Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Khushbu, and Sangeetha Krish play important roles. Taman has composed the music and KL Praveen and Karthik Palani have done editing and cinematography respectively.
