"Gear up for Varisu Pongal"...Here's the new poster from the makers of Varisu!

It has been announced that Vijay's film Varisu will open in theatres in the first month of 2023. For the first time in eight years, Vijay's "Varisu" and Ajith's "Thunivu" will have a biggest face off in Pongal 2023 release. 

Earlier, the Telugu Film Producers Council's (TFPC) concerns were at the center of a heated debate over Varisu's release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Now the way has been cleared after the film's producer Dil Raju confirmed the Pongal release of Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions on the same date. 

On Wednesday, Sri Venkateswara Creations, which is bankrolling the movie, released a riveting poster and wrote, "Gear up for #VarisuPongal". In the poster, Vijay can be seen sipping tea while chilling in front of a car. The words "WORLDWIDE PONGAL RELEASE" on the poster serve as an official confirmation of the release. 

The new poster has been viral on social media among his idol fans, as it resembles the actor's signature pose from his earlier hit film, Theri. Rashmika Mandanna stars as the Thalapathy Vijay's on-screen pair. Thaman S composed the score, and Karthik Palani shot the cinematography for Varisu. The first single, titled "Ranjithame," features a pulsating original score by S. Thaman and has been released few days ago, where it featured the vocals of  lead actor Vijay, along with MM Manasi. 

Reportedly, Varisu is the ideal family-friendly entertainment. While it is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Yogi Babu, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Shaam, Jayasudha, Khushbu, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Karthick, Prakash Raj, S.J. Suryah, and Prakash Raj all feature in prominent roles.
