Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is already peppering the fans for the major update on the Vijay's birthday. The gangster drama, which also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand and others, has been creating a lot of buzz ever since it was announced.

Now, the exciting report has that the newly addition to the star-studded cast is none other than Denzil Smith, who has acted in several English and Hindi films including Christopher Nolan’s Tenet. Denzil Smith is a renowned stage actor and producer who has also been part of the web series Delhi Crime.

He will be seen playing a pivotal role in Leo, which is expected to be a high-octane action thriller. A source close to the film’s unit revealed that Denzil has already shot for his portions in Chennai for four days. He joined the team in January when they resumed shooting after a long gap due to the pandemic.

Leo marks the second collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their blockbuster Master. The film also boasts of a stellar crew, with Anirudh composing the music, Manoj Paramahamsa handling the cinematography and Philomin Raj editing the film. The film is produced by 7 Screen Studio and is slated for release on October 19.

Leo has also made headlines for its overseas rights, which have been acquired by Phars Film for a whopping price. The film is expected to have a grand release in several countries and break many records at the box office.
