Amid the ongoing controversy over his direct intervention in the ruling administration, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi is said to have been executing the assignment levied on him by Delhi to closely surveil the ruling DMK regime and the ministers. Our sources say that the Governor will enhance his surveillance in the coming days as he has recently asked the Chief Secretary to present him the functioning of the departments. 

According to our sources, he has been communicating about the performance of the state government to Delhi at regular intervals and former Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami is seemingly aiding Ravi in his measure of inspecting the ruling DMK government. Earlier last month, Ravi had visited Delhi for the first time after assuming the office of the Governor and he met President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah during which he had held an extensive discussion about the performance of the DMK regime. 

Delhi had then given an assignment to Ravi to monitor MK Stalin, his family, and the state ministers and send a report back to the capital concerning their governance. When the Governor was making his report, former Chief Minister and current opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami had met the Governor along with his ADMK peers and moved a complaint against the DMK for the irregularities in the rural local body polls and DMK's drive of conducting raids at the residences of former ADMK Ministers. 

Edappadi Palaniswami has been slamming the DMK regime over its policies and the Tamil Nadu BJP unit has also been petitioning the Governor against the ruling government. By having the report, RN Ravi had travelled to Delhi on October 22 and discussed in Delhi the functioning of the key portfolios in the state including Tamil Nadu Highways Department, Public Works Department, Electricity Board, and School Education Department. The Governor had also submitted a report to the Union government. 

Along with submitting the report, our sources say that the Governor had also shared secret information given by Edappadi Palaniswami to Prime Minister Modi concerning the raids that were conducted against the former ADMK Ministers. Governor RN Ravi has also informed the Union government about the stand taken by the DMK regime on NEET and on the release of seven Rajiv Gandhi case convicts.
