Actor Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar has now become the recent victim of rumors after he was surfaced with the hearsays that he would be joining the Central ruling BJP following veteran actress Khushbu, who had officially joined the BJP on Monday in Delhi ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly polls.
Khushbu had joined the Central ruling party days after she had denied the rumors that she would be joining the party. She later had twisted the tale and officially became a member of the BJP on Monday, hours after she tendered her resignation to the Congress party. Amid such developments, there were rumors that Vijay's father and veteran director SA Chandrasekar would be joining the BJP.
However, the father of the ace actor had dispelled the rumors and speculations that he is joining the BJP, in a bid to end the political spotlight on him. Speaking to a news agency, the veteran director had negated such rumors and asserted that it's not true and he's not joining BJP. According to reports, the rumors and speculations had seemingly arisen after the high-level political drama unfolded by actor turned politician Khushbu Sundar.
Chandrasekar has been eyeing to give his son a political career and unprecedently, Vijay has been on the fray of politics with his fans hoping that their favorite actor would enter politics as the sequel of speaking about politics in his recent movies. In some interviews, Chandrasekar had apparently put out his wish to push his son to politics. Vijay, who has one of the popular stardoms in Kollywood, had directly spoken politics in his audio launch events.
Vijay has been one of the actors in Kollywood who was staunchly attacked by the Tamil Nadu BJP leaders for his on-screen voice against the Center's policies. The thespian and the Central ruling party have a bitter relations as the actor had braced up personal attacks against him. In Mersal, which was released in 2017, Vijay had spoken about the healthcare system and the Goods and Service Tax (GST) and criticized the policies and taxation.
While his message was grasped by his fans, it had invited strong opposition from the BJP with the leaders castigating the actor. BJP leader H Raja had gone one step further and called his full name 'Joseph Vijay' and claimed that the movie was a Christian conspiracy against the ruling government. The actor had also faced an IT raid at his residence in ECR, Chennai when he was at 'Master' shooting in Neyveli.
Though the IT raid was spelled with the political motive, the Central agency had said that the actor had paid the taxes properly. Amid such developments, SA Chandrasekar has now been surfaced with the rumors that he would be joining the BJP, which has come days after Khushbu had joined the Central ruling party. However, the father of the ace actor had negated the rumors and asserted that he will be not joining in BJP.
