Actor Arya has been surfaced with chilling trouble that was triggered by a cheating complaint from a German-based doctor. The complaint has been haunting Arya for several months and after a brief pause, the case is again getting fastened by taking shocking twists and turns even as Arya has visited the Office of Chennai Police Commissioner recently in connection to the case. In what has become fresh trouble, the counsel of the woman has demanded the arrest of the actor and his mother for cheating her.
Vidja, a Sri Lankan woman settled in Germany as a cardiologist, had filed an online complaint to the Chennai Police earlier this year in which she has alleged that Arya has cheated her of Rs 70 lakh by promising to marry her. She stated that Arya has received the money from her by saying that he was financially struggling due to the lockdown. Vidja had also moved her complaint to the President and the Prime Minister of India and urged to take action against Arya. However, the Chennai police haven't responded to her complaint after which she had approached the Madras High Court and sought a directive to file a case against Arya.
After hearing the petition, the High Court has ordered the Chennai Police to file its response about the complaint and investigate it. As the matter has reached the judiciary, the cybercrime branch of the Chennai Police had launched the probe and summoned Arya for investigations. Following the summon, Arya has appeared before Cybercrime wing inspector Geetha on August 10. The interrogation went on for three hours during which the police officers questioned the actor based on the woman's complaint. The police had also questioned Vidja through the video call..
Days after the investigation, the case has attracted a sudden twist as the police had arrested 32-year-old Mohammed Arman, a native of Pulianthope, Chennai, and his relative 34-year-old Mohammed Husaini. The police had said that these two people were behind the case as they had spoken with Vidja in Arya's voice and they went on to swindle the money from her under the guise of the actor. Following the arrest, they began further proceedings and Arya took to social media earlier and thanked the police commissioner for arresting the real culprits.
In his social media post, Arya wrote, "I would like to thank Commissioner of Police @chennaipolice_ Additional Commissioner of Police-Central Crime Branch and Cyber Crime Team of Chennai city for arresting the Real culprit. It was a real mental trauma which I never expressed. Love to everyone who believed in me." As the police have arrested the responsible for cheating, it was said that the case has come to an end and Arya was relieved from the trouble. He was back to normal life until he has invited fresh trouble from the woman.
Vidja's advocate has knocked the High Court and said that the FIR filed by the Chennai Police in this matter carries Arya as Accused No 1 and his mother Jameela as Accused No 2, while the arrested duo was Accused 3 and 4. As Arya and his mother are the main accused in the matter, the advocate has demanded that they should be arrested. Vidja has appealed to the court that Arya must be investigated again in the matter and Vidja's advocate Anandan has said that Vidja had spoken with Arya through a video call during which Arya had shown her his house. He added that Vidja has written to the WhatsApp company and asked for the video calls records between her and Arya to prove that Arya had spoken with her.
As Vidja is expediting the case, her counsel has said that the complaint against Arya was filed earlier this year and if the actor wasn't involved in the case, why hasn't he fought against the complaint. The German doctor has thrown weight to her complaint against Arya by claiming that the arrested duo - Mohammed Arman and Mohammed Husaini were Arya's managers and that Arya has asked her to deposit money in their bank accounts instead of his bank account. Her statement has become a big twist in the matter and that Arya wasn't fully freed.
As the case is troubling the actor, Arya has arrived at the Chennai Police Commissioner's Office on Thursday noon along with his advocate and given his statement to the commissioner amid the matter getting resurrected. However, some of the reports say that Arya has visited the police commissioner to extend his gratitude for arresting the real culprits and he also appealed to the police to remove his and his mother's name from the FIR and the police had informed him that the names will be removed from the FIR during filing the charge sheet under the grounds that Arya has no involvement in the case. However, Vidja has been collecting evidence against Arya with the demand that the actor should arrest. As the case has been taking shocking twists and turns, it continues to haunt Arya and his family.
