Actress Vijayalakshmi attempts suicide, under treatment! What happened?

Actress Vijayalakshmi has reportedly attempted suicide on Sunday by consuming pills after alleging that she has faced harassment on social media. She has now been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment. 

In a shocking development, the actress, who is one of the known faces in the Tamil Cinema industry, took to Social Media on Sunday and posted a video about her attempt to end her life. In the video, she alleged that she has been harassed by the supporters and followers of Naam Tamilar political party leader Seeman and Panankattu Padai's Hari Nadar. 

In the video, she said 'This is my last video and I have been living in tremendous stress in the last four months because of Seeman and his followers and party members. I tried my level best to survive because of my mother and sister and I have been harassed by Harinadar recently'. She went on to say, 'I have already taken a couple of my BP tablets and in some time, I will suffer from low blood pressure and in a few hours I will be dead'. 

By accusing Seeman of harassing her on social media, she further stated that 'You make me feel the pain and it's up to me to decide on what to do after facing such insults from you. I request my fans to not let Seeman get away from the case, he should never get bail. I don't want to be anyone's slave'. 

However, the video was removed by Facebook, which the report says, could be due to the community standards of the social media giant. In recent times, Vijayalakshmi was seen fiercely accusing Seeman which surfaced controversies around the actor-turned-politician. The actress had lodged a complaint against Seeman a few months ago under the grounds of cheating.

Following that, Vijayalakshmi, in February, said Seeman had failed to marry her despite making promises. In the video that she released on Sunday, she said, she has been getting harassed on Social media just because she born in Karnataka and stated that the harassment against her on social media was the reason why she attempted to end her life. 

According to the reports, Vijayalakshmi has been getting treated in a private hospital in Chennai and she has been recovering. After knowing the development, Actress Kasthuri took to Twitter and said 'Shocked to hear Vijayalakshmi suicide attempt. Rushing to help. Suicide is never never the answer'. She further stated that 'Family not responding to calls. An insider from the hospital where she is admitted assures me her condition is stable'.

Actress Vijayalakshmi is known for playing supporting roles in the movies 'Friends' and 'Boss Engira Baskaran', and she had also appeared in TV serials.
