The political grounds of Tamil Nadu will always differ, will always box with the heated accusations and controversies and will always stage the dramas of turmoil and uncertainty due to not having strong, close to people foundations that have been revealing and exposing the political instability in the state occupied with people's politics and electoral politics. The state of Tamil Nadu has about dozens of political parties, hundreds of castes and policies, thousands of known issues of people that either kept alive or failed to address by the political parties including ruling and the opposition.
While observing major disputes and differences in accusing each other, the parties like ADMK and DMK have seemingly united to voice against two reputed actors of Tamil cinema industry with one already launched his political career while the other is preparing to hit the political grounds. Amidst the presence of multiple parties, Actors Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth had got themselves added to the numbers where Kamal Haasan's party Makkal Needhi Maiam contested in 2019 General elections while Rajinikanth prepares for 2021 state elections. But before hitting the campaign trail for state's general elections, their comments, statements, and accusations had unleashed real fight with two Dravidian parties that ruled the state for the past five decades. Will the new political duo stage real fight, possess a real threat to the political parties particularly the ruling one? We had a brief questioning with the official spokesperson of Makkal Needhi Maiam Murali Appas on the critics and accusations thrown against Kamal Haasan.
When we questioned about the recent accusation by Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami in which he accused Kamal Haasan of not contesting in Vikkravandi and Nanguneri byelections, Murail Appas claimed that Kamal Haasan had voiced for the society in 1992 without fearing the adverse effects and he has been voicing for the people since then and he had renovated his residence as the party's office. He has earned stardom being an actor that even Prime Minister Modi can meet him directly. He asserted that Kamal Haasan came to politics by lowering his status and affluence for the people and he has been into the electoral politics to get the baton of power to rule the state and to work for the people.
He cited that Kamal Haasan has successfully uncovered the power of the village council which was active before 25 years and through conducting the village councils, he had pictured the importance of having such councils to empower the villages and without knowing these, the Chief Minister is questioning Kamal Haasan about the panchayats. Mural Appas has termed the questions of Chief Minister as his fear and anxiety on the growth of Kamal Haasan and his party that readies to contest in 2021 state legislative assembly elections. He claimed that the ADMK party would be having very tough elections and campaigns in 2021 in deciding the Chief Minister amidst a wide range of issues. He stated that the mindset of the people will change during the elections and claimed that the people didn't faint for electing the party in the by-elections which faced unprecedented loss in the parliamentary elections and said that people would change their votes in the wake of electing good governance.
While asked about the accusations of other parties on the failure of electoral politics of Makkal Needhi Maiam by staying off from the by-elections, Murali Appas had recalled the episodes of party's campaign in 2019 parliamentary elections and added that the party will hit the local body elections and 2021 state elections. By denying the accusations, he had quoted the statement of Jayalalithaa as his response to the parties where Jayalalithaa once branded the by-election as the combination of the abuse from the party and misuse of the power. He further cited the possibilities of how the party which lost in parliamentary elections won two by-elections with huge margins in just three months. The Parliamentary elections were announced during when Makkal Needhi Maiam was at the starting stage and despite that, the party went to face the elections which shows that the party doesn't possess any fear in facing the people and elections. Appas defends that Makkal Needhi Maiam knows its might and strength than any other parties through which we are getting ready to face local body polls and state legislative elections.
By recalling Kamal's statements on his bonding with Rajinikanth that can't be separated, we quizzed whether Kamal's bonding fit his political career and cited the speculations on the possibilities of forming an alliance between each other in contesting the elections, Murali Appas has underlined that these speculations would be brought uncertainty for Edappadi Palaniswami and he recapped the relations between Kamal and Rajini for the past forty years and added that Kamal is already in the politics while Rajini is preparing to mark his political career. They observe a deep and clear understanding of the parties that don't deserve to rule the state.
While commenting about their political alliance, he stated that the strategies play a strong and important role in politics and indicated that Rajinikanth remains muted in most of the issues since he is yet to kick start his politics. He concluded by admitting that Kamal Haasan will most likely seek support from Rajinikanth for the elections and proclaimed that both the actors and political hopefuls are fully aware in executing the plans and strategies that will benefit and empower the people.
