'We will win the war against the invisible Coronavirus' - says PM Modi!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asserted that the nation will win the battle against the Coronavirus pandemic as the nation's medical workers are invincible. 

The Prime Minister has, on Monday, inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore through video conference and while addressing the occasion virtually, Modi said that the Indian doctors and healthcare workers are invincible and in the battle against the pandemic, the healthcare workers will surely win.

By highlighting that the medical workers are invincible, he noted the virus as the invisible enemy. He further stated that the Indian doctors and medical workers are Coronavirus warriors as they have been on war foot battling the menace and iterated that the violence, rude behavior, and abuse against the front-line workers are not acceptable.

He added that the world is looking up to the doctors, nurses, medical staff, and the scientific community with hope and gratitude as they are providing care and cure for the virus affected patients. According to the Prime Minister, India's Ayushmann Bharat Scheme, which is the largest health care scheme, has benefitted one crore people in less than two years and most of them are women and people living in the rural areas.

Its Modi's first address in any platform after the nation has entered the fifth phase of the lockdown and it has come at the crucial time when the country has been witnessing sharpest rises in COVID-19 cases. According to the Union Health Ministry, India has reported 1,90,535 cases so far as of Monday morning of which 93,322 are active cases, 91,819 have been discharged, while 5394 had succumbed to the virus. 

In the last 24 hours till Monday morning, the country has recorded 8,392 cases with 230 deaths. India currently stands at the seventh spot in the list of top ten countries worst affected by COVID-19. After the occasion, the Prime Minister has chaired the Union Cabinet meeting which, according to the ANI, is the first meeting of the Cabinet after the Central government entered into its second year in office.
