In a shocking piece of news, a woman had attempted to commit suicide in front of actor Ajith's residence in Chennai. The development has become the talk of the town by drawing more attraction across the state and the fans were stunned to learn the incident, that had put the actor in dismay. The woman's attempt to immolate herself was foiled by the police officers, who poured water on her and sent her back to her residence as the video of the incident has been going viral on social media.

According to reports, a woman named Farzana was the one who attempted to commit suicide before Ajith's residence on Monday. Farzana had made headlines last year after she sought Ajith's intervention to get a job, that she had lost. Farzana was working at a private hospital in Teynampet in Chennai and in May 2020, when Ajith and his wife Shalini came to the hospital for a check-up, Farzana videographed the star couple on her mobile phone and that video had gone viral on social media.  

The video of Ajith in the hospital had last year stirred a buzz about whether the actor had got tested positive for the Covid-19 pandemic. Under the grounds of violating the hospital rules of giving privacy to the visitors, the hospital management had suspended Farzana from the job for taking the video of the actor. Days after the suspension, the management had fired her from the role. 

After getting fired, Farzana had attempted to meet Ajith to seek his help in getting back the job. She had thought that she would be called again for the job if Ajith speaks to the hospital management. However, she couldn't able to reach out to Ajith despite speaking with his manager Suresh Chandra in April this year. She had then reached to Ajith's wife Shalini and sought her help in getting the job back. The reports say that after her request, Shalini had spoken with the hospital management and appealed to them to provide the job back to Farzana.

Following Shalin's intervention, Farzana has got her job back. However, recently, Farzana had again got fired by the hospital management after violating the hospital rule in another incident. She had again reached out to Shalini to speak to the management about her job and Farzana had also urged the intervention of the star couple in securing her job. However, the reports say that Shalini had said that she can help Farzana economically and denied to intervene again in Farzana's job matter as she can't be able to get into the decision taken by the hospital management. 

Farzana had kept her attempt of meeting Ajith and as her attempt had failed, she had arrived before Ajith's residence on Monday and attempted to commit suicide. Farzana was accompanied by another woman and reached Ajith's residence on Monday afternoon and all of a sudden, she tried to set herself on fire by blaming Ajith for losing her job. She was depressed that she could not meet the actor.

When she attempted to immolate herself, the police officers, who were stationed near Ajith's house, had foiled Farzana's attempt of ending her life. The police had poured water on her to prevent her from setting fire and the police had detained Farzana and her friend. Farzana had said that Ajith was the reason for her death and the police had taken both of the women to the police station. The police said that Farzana was given counselling and was sent back to her residence.
