On the occasion of actor Suriya's birthday, the makers of his upcoming movie 'Vaadivaasal' has released special footage in which Suriya was seen battling with the bulls as he is taking on the aggressive breed of cattle in a traditional Tamil bull-taming sport of 'Jallikattu'. The video, which caught into the wave of virality, has come with a note that it is not the teaser of the movie and it was shot when the actor was learning about the sport from tamers.
Vaadivaasal has become one of the much-expected movies of Suriya after consecutive success. While the movie is directed by Vetrimaaran, it is bankrolled by Kalaippuli S Thanu under his banner 'V Creations'. On Saturday, Thanu took to Twitter and released the video. He wrote, "To celebrate the birthday of National Award-winning actor Suriya, we are happy to release the special footage of him training with the Jallikattu fighters for Vaadivaasal."
The video runs for a minute and it displays a glimpse of what is touted to be a thriller drama. Responding to Thanu's tweet, Suriya said, "Thank you V Creations Thanu sir and dear Vetrimaaran for this special clip!". While Suriya plays the lead role, Ameer and Andrea will be playing important roles. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music and sharing the video, the latter wrote, "My next musical my 75th film...happy birthday dear Suriya sir."
The footage has garnered a huge reception as within a short span of time, it has earned over a lakh views. By the time of writing this content, the video has got close to two lakh views as the ardent fans of Suriya have been sharing it rampantly amidst celebrating his birthday and his stupendous milestone of winning the National Award for the Best Actor for the movie 'Soorarai Pottru'.
The Union government has on Friday announced the winners of the prestigious award and the best artists for the movies that were released from January 2020 to December 2020 were honoured. While the Tamil movie 'Soorarai Pottru' has won the award of Best Feature Film, Suriya, who played the lead role in the movie, has won the award for the Best Actor along with Bollywood's Ajay Devgn. As Suriya celebrated his birthday on Saturday, the National Award has become a special birthday gift for the actor.
