The Thalaivar is back in action! Rajinikanth, the superstar of Indian cinema, has resumed shooting for his upcoming film ‘Lal Salaam’, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush. A video from the sets of the film, shared by a fan on social media, has gone viral and created a buzz among his admirers.

Rajinikanth is dressed as Moideen Bhai, a Muslim guy who operates a sports academy, in the clip. He's suited up in a classic white kurta, veshti, and hat. He has a beard and a moustache as well. The footage captures him making his way to his car as spectators shout and security surrounds him.

‘Lal Salaam’ is a sports drama that revolves around the lives of three young cricketers, played by Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth. Rajinikanth has a special cameo role in the film, which marks his first collaboration with his elder daughter Aishwarya Dhanush as a director.

The film is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, and also features Thambi Ramaiah, Senthil and Jeevitha in supporting roles. The music is composed by AR Rahman, which marks the first teaming with Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

A poster for the film 'Lal Salaam' was released as an early look a few weeks ago, but it was met with mixed reactions from moviegoers. They said the poster lacked originality and were critical of its design. However, the most recent set video has restored anticipation for the movie.
