Sivakarthikeyan, the rising star of Tamil cinema, has received a special appreciation from none other than the Superstar Rajinikanth for his latest film Maaveeran. The fantasy action comedy, which has been running successfully for 25 days, has impressed the Thalaivar with its unique story and entertainment value.

Sivakarthikeyan shared his excitement and gratitude in a video message, where he also wished Rajinikanth for his upcoming film Jailer. Maaveeran, directed by National Award winner Madonne Ashwin, features Sivakarthikeyan as a comic artist who gains superpowers after a near-death experience.

Sivakarthikeyan revealed that Rajinikanth watched Maaveeran and called him to congratulate him and the team. He said that it was a very special moment for him and the entire crew, as Rajinikanth was busy with his own film’s promotions and still found time to watch and appreciate their work. He said that Rajinikanth is always great and generous with his words.

He added, "Thalaivar said he completely enjoyed it and it was very grand and superb. He pointed out that Maaveeran was different and told me that I'm choosing different scripts. I was on cloud nine over that comment. Thank you so much, Thalaiva! I'm a big fan of you and I will always be one. You're my inspiration to step into cinema. It was a lifetime moment when you appreciated my movie."

Sivakarthikeyan also expressed his best wishes for Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which is releasing tomorrow. The film, directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures, is a black comedy action thriller that features Rajinikanth as a prison warden who takes on a corrupt politician. The film also stars Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Vasanth Ravi in important roles. The film has already created a huge buzz with its showcase video and advance booking sales.

Maaveeran is coming to digital screens from 11th August, where the film also stars Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. The film has been praised for its humour, visual effects, and music by Bharath Shankar. The film has grossed over Rs 75 crore worldwide and is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark soon.
