Watch: Pleasant surprise for Rajinikanth above the clouds! It's superstar's super celebration!

Rajinikanth has been in the rain of birthday wishes as the superstar had turned 70 last Saturday, which was his first birthday after he announced his political plunge. On Sunday, the superstar had a surprise birthday celebration above the clouds when he was traveling to Hyderabad for the shooting of his upcoming 'Annaatthe', which resumed its shooting on Monday at the Ramoji film city. 

On Saturday, Rajinikanth cut the 'Now or Never' birthday cake that was arranged by his youngest daughter Soundarya. 'Now or Never' was one of the political taglines of the actor which he used when announcing his political plunge and the image of the superstar cutting that cake was shared by his daughter on Twitter and it has been getting rampantly spread across social media. After celebrating his birthday, Rajinikanth has on Sunday left for Hyderabad for the shooting. 

Rajinikanth and the crew of 'Annaatthe' had chartered a SpiceJet aircraft and left Chennai to Hyderabad. When the superstar was midway in the sky, he has got a pleasant surprise as the cast and crew of the movie had arranged a chocolate cake for his birthday on board and above the clouds. 

Rajinikanth has cut the cake inside the flight surrounded by the flight and movie crew. The video of Superstar's birthday cutting has been getting widely spread across social media as fans relish watching the grand birthday celebration of the actor above the clouds. 

In the video, the actor was seen cutting the cakes and thanking everyone with folded hands while his daughter Soundarya, actor Nayanthara, and other members of the crew were seen next to the actor. According to reports, Rajinikanth has resumed his shooting on Monday and a photo of him from the shooting spot was also released. As the actor and political freshman would be launching his political party in January 2021 ahead of the assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, 'Annaatthe' would probably his last movie, which had stirred expectations from fans. 

Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, 'Annaatthe' is directed by Siva and this is the first time that Siva had joined hands with Rajinikanth to direct his last film. Siva is well-known for directing Ajith in Veeram, Vivegam, and Viswasam. Speculated to be a rural drama, Annaatthe has been filled with some of the reputed artists in the crew and it has roped in Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbhu, Prakash Raj, Sathish, and Soori. Bollywood actor and 'Bigil' fame Jackie Shroff will be playing antagonist against Rajinikanth. 

The shooting of the movie had started in February, it was indefinitely suspended in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions. After the government had poured relaxations, the shooting was about to resume, however, it got halted again as director Siva's father had demised recently. 

The shooting has now been resumed and during the press meet about his political entry, Rajinikanth said that 40% of the shooting is remaining and asserted that he would complete the shoot soon.  He announced that he is taking a political plunge and said that he will launch his party in January 2021 and he also said that he will be making an official announcement about the political party by December 3. Rajinikanth had further said that the time has come to change the fate of Tamil Nadu.
