Watch: Natarajan's first chat in Tamil after his extraordinary debut...shares his strengths and expectations!

Debutant Indian pacer Natarajan is flooded with rains of appreciations and filled with wishes of hope from across and beyond the borders as the cricketer from Tamil Nadu, who is one of the remarkable products of IPL, has been celebrated across the country for his splendid performances in the Australian tour as he has had an incredible and extraordinary debut to the Indian team with grant welcome and incessant support from Kohli's fleet. 

As Natarajan is becoming one of the magnificent young talents to the Indian team, the Tamil Nadu pacer had on Tuesday chatted with veteran cricketer Murali Karthik in Tamil for the first time after he shined as a glittering star in the Indian tour of Australia where the visitors had lifted the T20 trophy by defeating the host by 2-1 in the three-match T20 series. During the chat, Natarajan spoke about his emotions, expectations, approach, and tactics as the newly-capped Indian player. 

Murali Karthik opened the chat by congratulating Natarajan's performance on his first trip to Australia for the pacer said, "I'm very happy. I feel extraordinary after winning the series in my debut by playing against Australia. I'm very happy that I don't have words to express it". The veteran cricketer asked Natarajan about his expectation in his first trip and Natarajan said, "I didn't have large expectations. I just wanted to do my work and I was a net bowler and I got the opportunity to play due to the injury of Varun Chakravarthy and I tried to utilize it and my good form in IPL was very helpful and I got the confidence of playing better after the Indian team had supported and motivated me". 

When asked what the team had expected from him on bowling, Natarajan said, "I believed my strengths of cutters and yorkers and I have adopted myself based on the wicket with the inputs of the captain and wicket-keeper and I haven't made any changes and I was confident on yorkers and I tried to deliver what I delivered in IPL and tried to clearly execute it". 

Murali Karthik put a question what was in the mind of the Indian fans and asked Natarajan about how he maintains being calm at all times even at taking wickets and even the batsman hits a boundary on his ball, Natarajan answered with a smile and said, "Many have asked this. I have been like this since my childhood. I cannot be aggressive and I just smile and move on. It's not a big deal", the cricketer stated with a huge smile and Murali Karthik had instructed Natarajan to please maintain this quality and he further asked the young pacer to maintain fitness to play well and long for India. 

T Natarajan is a native of Salem, Tamil Nadu and he has become the latest capped player in the Indian team and made his international debut in the present Indian tour of Australia. He made his debut in the One Day Internationals in the third ODI against Australia and he had a classy debut by taking two key wickets and through his splendid performances, he was put in the playing XI for the T20 series against the Aussies and carried his strengths and tactics in the T20 cricket and shined in all the three matches and he has got six wickets in three matches with the great economy rate. 

On Tuesday, India and Australia battled in the third and final match of the T20 series and though the host defeated the visitors by 12 runs, India had lifted the trophy as it has won the series and the Indian cricket team had celebrated Natarajan more than it celebrated the trophy as Virat Kohli had given the trophy to Natarajan and along with Kohli, Hardik Pandya, who was awarded the man of the series, had also handed over his Man of the Series award to Natarajan and the Tamil Nadu cricketer had posed for a photograph with two trophies which has become one of the iconic scenes for the Indian cricket fans from Australia and pride and inspiring moments for cricket aspirants. 

Pandya dearly appreciated Natarajan's performance and after handing over the trophy to the young player, Pandya took to Twitter and said, "Natarajan, you were outstanding in this series. To perform brilliantly in difficult conditions on your India debut speaks volumes of your talent and hard work. You deserve Man of the Series from my side bhai". While Natarajan has been celebrated as a young sports icon, Pandya has been praised for his true sportsmanship of encouraging the debutant player.
