The much-awaited teaser of Naane Varuven is released on Thursday - September 15, weeks ahead of the movie's release. Helmed by prominent director Selvaraghavan, the movie stars his brother Dhanush in the lead role and the anticipation for the movie has been high ever since the announcement was made. Recently, the movie team unveiled posters and the first single. 

While it has been speculated that Naane Varuven will get released on September 29, the teaser has no mention of the movie's release and it ends by stating that it will be released this month. The teaser runs for over a minute and it promises the best comeback from the brothers. Interestingly, Dhanush will be featured in a dual role - one as a protagonist and the other as an antagonist.

The teaser has sparked a fresh wave of expectations and displayed that the movie would be a multi-genre entertainer with a riveting storyline. Both the characters of Dhanush are portrayed to have a family and Selvaraghavan appears in an intriguing role. The teaser has garnered massive reception as in a short span of its release, it has earned lakhs of views. 

By the time of writing this content, the teaser has got close to 4.5 lakh views on Youtube and the fans are sharing it rampantly on social media. Earlier, it was said that the teaser will be released on September 11 at the SIIMA Awards ceremony. The movie plot narrates a déjà vu experience between two people who are similar to each other. 

Kalaipuli S Thanu produces the movie under his banner 'V Creations'. While Dhanush plays the lead role, Yogi Babu, Indhuja, Prabhu, and Shelly Kishore all have significant parts to play. This is Dhanush and Selvaraghavan's fifth venture together after Thullavatho Ilamai, Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, and Mayakkam Enna. Yuvan Shankar Raja, who worked for the brothers' combo previously, has composed the music for this film.
