The trailer of the upcoming movie 'Kalaga Thalaivan', which features actor Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role, was released on Thursday and opened to a massive reception. The trailer was released by the actor's production banner Red Giant Movies and Kalaga Thalaivan is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni, who is back to the directorial business after a long hiatus. 

Magizh Thirumeni collaborated with Arun Vijay in the movies 'Thadaiyara Thaakka' and 'Thadam'. Now, through Kalaga Thalaivan, Thirumeni had promised a gripping investigative thriller as he awaits how his chemistry with Udhayanidhi Stalin would be received by the fans and audiences. Red Giant Movies, took to Twitter on Thursday late evening, and unveiled the gripping trailer, captioning "#KalagaThalaivan trailer is out now". 

Udhayindhi Stalin shared the poster from his upcoming film, on Friday morning and officially revealed the film's release date, captioned "#KalagaThalaivan from November 18th". The nearly two-minute-long trailer video centers around purely suspenseful action that intensifies as kidnapping and violence against women take place. 

The video shows Udhay performing impressive stunts, where Aarav and Kalaiyarasan seem to play some crucial leads. Nidhhi Agerwal, who made her Tamil debut through Silambarasan-starred 'Easwaran', plays the on-screen couple for Udhayanidhi Stalin. Udhayanidhi is perceived as someone who is keeping his identity a secret while cleverly noticing what is unfolding around him. 

Srikanth Deva composed the background music for Kalaga Thalaivan. The camera work was done by Dilraj K, and the editing was done by Srikanth NB. The action choreography for the film was done by stunt director R Sakthi Saravanan. The actor's next film is Maamannan, directed by Mari Selvaraj, in which Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, and Vadivelu feature in crucial roles.
