Superstar Rajinikanth is known for his spiritual quests and devotion to Lord Shiva. The actor, who often visits the Himalayas for meditation, recently paid a surprise visit to the Arunachaleswarar temple in Tiruvannamalai, one of the most sacred shrines of Shiva in India.

The actor was shooting for his upcoming film Lal Salaam, in which he plays a Muslim character named Moideen Bhai. The film, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles. Rajinikanth’s visit to the temple on the auspicious day of Shani Pradosham delighted his fans and devotees, who were amazed to see him in person.

The actor’s pictures from the temple have gone viral on social media, where he is seen wearing a white kurta and a mask. Rajinikanth is also awaiting the release of his other film Jailer , directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.The film is produced by Sun Pictures and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is slated to release on August 10, 2023

Meanwhile Lal Salaam is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, who makes her debut collaboration with her father and the Superstar as a director with this film. The film is produced by Lyca Productions, and has music composed by AR Rahman. The actor has a busy schedule ahead, as he has also signed up for another project tentatively titled Thalaivar 170 with TJ Gnanavel.

The film is expected to go on floors soon and release in 2024. The music for the film will be composed by the rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. Sources say that Action King Arjun has agreed to play the villain the film. And the film is said to be an action-entertainer with a social message. The film will showcase Rajinikanth in a cop role. And the plot according film insiders, around a retired cop fights against fake encounter on innocent people.
