Director Prabhu Salomon made his mark as a leading director in Tamil with Maina, and Kumki. Now the filmmaker is returning to entice the movie-buffs with another visual-treating drama, Sembi which stars Kovai Sarala in the crucial lead. While the film is set for theatrical release by 30th December, the second trailer has been released.
After the first trailer for the film debuted in June, Dhanush unveiled the second trailer for the film on Friday on his social media handle. He took us to Twitter and wrote, "Delighted to launch the second trailer of #SEMBI! Best wishes to the team". The trailer entirely entices more with emotions and signature elements of Prabu Solomon, as like his other films, Sembi is to have a forest-based plot.
Kamal spoke highly of the exhibit and Prabhu Solomon's concepts during last month's audio launch. Specifically addressing the seasoned actor Kovai Sarala, he mentioned, "Everyone is addressing Kovai Sarala as Sister and Mother, but I am unsure how to call her. I have known her since childhood. She has delivered a fabulous performance in this movie, and the 8-yr old baby has also acted so well."
In addition to Kovai Sarala and Ashwin Kumar, the film also features Thambi Ramaiah and Nila, a child actor of only 10 years of age, in pivotal roles. Sembi, which audiences anticipate will be a road movie, follows a bus full of twenty-four people as they travel from Kodaikanal to Dindigul. Jeevan shot the cinematography and Nivas K Prasanna composed the score. Trident Arts and AR Entertainment are the producers of the film.
