Armed with the 'Y-plus' security detail, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has arrived in Mumbai on Wednesday amid the massive uproar and protests in the financial capital over her recent remarks that triggered outrage from the ruling party of Maharashtra and the supporters which inturn had threatened her not to return to the city.
Kangana Ranaut has recently caught with the sharp controversy after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (Pok). She has been throwing allegations of an active drug cartel in Bollywood and she has even linked it with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. While BJP MLA in the state said that the Mumbai police are not providing protection to the actress for exposing the drug cartel, Ranaut said she is actually scared of Mumbai police than the movie mafia and stated that she doesn't need security from Mumbai police.

Replying to her remarks on Mumbai police, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has requested the actress not to come to Mumbai. By citing that the actress remarks had insulted the Mumbai police, Raut further stated that the home ministry should take action over it. In response to Raut, Kangana Ranaut said that Sanjay Raut has given her an open threat by asking her not to come back to Mumbai and the actress further questioned why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
The sequel of her comparison of Mumbai to PoK had sparked massive outrage and protests against the actress. She had even got anonymous threat calls in returning to Mumbai. However, Ranaut's family members had appealed to the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister to provide security to the actress, and last week, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has approved 'Y-plus' security cover to the actress had challenged that she would come to Mumbai on September 9.
The actress was staying in her home town in Himachal Pradesh and as she announced, she landed at the Mumbai airport amid the uproar and protests against her. She exited the airport armed with the Y-plus security detail that consists of one or two commandos and police personnel. Her return to Mumbai has made national headlines and most of the channels had covered her trip live from Himachal Pradesh to Mumbai.
According to the reports, she got tested for COVID-19 before arriving in Mumbai and her result returned negative. Thousands of people had gathered at the Mumbai airport, some to welcome the actress and others to protest against her on her PoK comparison. Last week, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that people who think Maharashtra or Mumbai is not safe for them have no right to live in the state.

Amid such developments, Ranaut has arrived in Mumbai and with the Central security cover, she arrived at her home. Ahead of her arrival in the city, the officials of Mumbai Corporation had demolished the parts of Kangana Ranaut's office in Mumbai by citing that the building was illegal. Following the development, Ranaut's lawyer reached the spot and immediately moved the petition to the Bombay High Court challenging the actions and notice of the corporation.

Hearing the petition, the High Court has stayed the demolition process as interim relief. The Birhanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has on Tuesday pasted a notice at the actor's bungalow at Pali Hill in Bandra. The civic body had claimed that during the regular inspection, it came to the revelation that several illegal constructions and modifications have been made without obtaining necessary approvals from the corporation.

Following the notice, the officials had come to the actress's bungalow and started demolishing it. However, Ranaut went to the High Court and stopped the demolition process. The actress took to Twitter and slammed the demolition drive carried out by the Mumbai Corporation. Sharing the pictures of the demolition process, the actress wrote 'Pakistan', with the hashtag of #deathofdemocracy. Ranaut has accused the Maharashtra government of targeting her because of her fight against the Shiv Sena party.
