Watch: AR Rahman's 'Moopilla Thamizhe Thaaye' resplendents the glory of the Tamil language!

Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman has presented another impressive musical album that resplendently fortifies the glory of the Tamil language, thanks to the entire crew of the album for making it ever-lasting. AR Rahman has on Friday - March 25 unveiled his new independent single 'Moopilla ThamizheThaaye' which is catching the eyes in awe and winning hearts.

The lyrics of the song is penned by renowned lyricist Thamarai while AR Rahman himself has rendered his voice for the track, which has been going viral across and beyond the borders. The song features familiar singers and artists including AR Rahman's children Khatija Rahman, AR Ameen, singers Saindhavi Prakash, Amina Rafiq, Rakshita Suresh, Gabriella Sellus, and Poovaiyar. 

The track is directed by Amith Krishnan and produced by AR Rahman under his own musical banner Maajja, which is Rahman's independent music collective initiative. It is pertinent to note that Maajja has gained prominence by launching the song 'Enjoy Enjaami' sung by Arivu and Dhee, which has gone super viral last year. Moopilla Thamizhe Thaaye runs for seven minutes and it touches upon various walks of life from Bharatanatyam to a rap fashioned music. 

The song was released on Maajja's Youtube channel and by the time of writing the content, it has garnered nearly 5 lakh views in 16 hours. The teaser of Moopilla Thamizhe Thaaye was released in April last year, while the official promo was unveiled last month. It has become the new Tamil anthem from AR Rahman after 'Semmozhi Tamil'. AR Rahman is in Dubai currently where he had conducted concerts at Dubai Expo 2020 and he is getting ready to conduct a month-long musical festival in various parts of the United States.

On the work front, Rahman is currently working with actor-director Parthiban for the upcoming movie 'Iravin Nizhal', which has been dubbed as the world's first non-linear, single-shot feature film. Rahman is also busy with several projects including Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan', Simbu starring 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu', Sivakarthikeyan starring 'Aylaan', and Vikram starring 'Cobra'.
