As the sequel to providing his car to VK Sasikala to reach Chennai with the ADMK flag, Sambangi, who was the ADMK leader Soolagiri in Krishnagiri district, has been expelled from the party along with several others for greeting and welcoming Sasikala.
In a joint statement, ADMK leaders Panneerselvam and Edappadi Palaniswami have mentioned the names of the members who were sacked from the party and said that they had acted against of party's policies and principles, they had caused harm to the dignity of the party, and they had brought disrepute to the party and its discipline.
The high command said that all these seven ADMK leaders including Sambangi have been expelled from all the roles and basic membership of the party. In their drive of keeping the party under their control, Panneerselvam and Edappadi Palaniswami had further asked all the party members not to exercise contact with these seven expelled leaders, who were removed from the party for greeting and welcoming Sasikala.
The seven expelled leaders include Sambangi from Krishnagiri district, and six others - Dakhshnamoorthy, Chandrasekara Reddy, Janaki Ravindra Reddy, Prashanth Kumar, Nagaraj, and Anand belong to Krishnagiri district and they held district level roles. Of these seven, Sambangi had provided his car to Sasikala to outsmart ADMK's agenda of blocking Sasikala from using the ADMK's flag.
VK Sasikala has arrived in Chennai in the wee hours of Tuesday after a 23-hour straight journey. She started from Bengaluru at around 7.30 am on Monday and she boarded the car used by late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa with the ADMK flag. While the ADMK ministers had filed a police complaint against Sasikala in using the ADMK flag, she further irked them by ruling their complaint out and using the ADMK flag, which was seen in the bonnet of the car.
However, following Sasikala's action of using the ADMK flag, the ruling government tried to put a break for her through the Krishnagiri police department which ordered Sasikala to remove the ADMK flag from her car before entering Tamil Nadu. However, Sasikala had twisted the tale and further shocked the ADMK leaders by sending a strong message that she and ADMK can't be separated.
After entering Tamil Nadu, she had changed the car and boarded the car that belonged to ADMK leader Sambangi. Being a member of ADMK, Sambangi has all the legal rights to use the ADMK flag in his car and by traveling in his car with the ADMK flag, Sasikala had clearly defeated the plan of ADMK leaders in stopping her from using the ADMK flag. She had an unhindered journey towards Chennai with the ADMK flag and she had sent a message to the ADMK leaders that she is ready for the battle of taking over the ADMK.
According to reports, Sasikala's master plan had pushed the party to fire the members as the ADMK leaders had got shocked to witness her arrival in Chennai with the ADMK flag following which the top two ADMK leaders had issued a statement of expelling Sambangi from the party for providing his car to Sasikala and expelled six other members for greeting and welcoming her against the party's discipline. After getting expelled, Sambangi claimed that he gave his car to Sasikala after her car had faced an issue and didn't function properly and added that the party's decision of firing him is not acceptable.
