VK Sasikala is not arriving in Chennai on February 7: TTV Dhinakaran reveals the new date!

While the supporters and the partymen of the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) are preparing to welcome VK Sasikala to Tamil Nadu ahead of the assembly elections, Sasikala's nephew and AMMK leader TTV Dhinakaran has on Thursday said that the expelled ADMK General Secretary is not arriving in Chennai as expected.

VK Sasikala was released from the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru on January 27 after serving a four-year prison sentence. Ahead of the release, Sasikala was admitted to the hospital in Bengaluru after she tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection, and after ten days of hospitalization, she was discharged from the hospital on January 31st following which she has been staying in a resort in Bengaluru under self-quarantine.

Amid the speculations on when she would arrive in Chennai, Dhinakaran had earlier said that Sasikala will be arriving in Chennai on February 7. However, on Thursday, Dhinakaran said that instead of February 7, Sasikala will be arriving in Chennai on February 8. Taking to Twitter, Dhinakaran said, "Chinamma (Sasikala) will be arriving in Chennai on February 8 - Monday instead of February 7.  She will start at 9 am on February 8 from Bengaluru and will be arriving in Chennai".

In another tweet, Dhinakaran had released a statement in which he mentioned the change in the arrival of Sasikala and called the supporters and members of the party to offer a grand welcome for Sasikala. According to reports, Sasikala would be arriving by road and she would be staying in a residence in T Nagar, Chennai, where she had stayed when she came out of the prison under parole for the first time. The residence in T Nagar will become her new address in the city.

Sasikala's arrival is surfaced with major significance as she is arriving in Chennai ahead of the assembly polls in which the ADMK leaders hope to emerge victoriously. However, it has been expected that Sasikala's arrival would cause trouble for the ADMK as she had sent a strong message to the party that she is ready for the political resurgence and battle against the current leaders to take the control of ADMK.

Speaking to the reporters on Wednesday, TTV Dhinakaran, said that the people of Tamil Nadu and Jayalalithaa's true cadres would usher in Amma's (Jayalalithaa) government again in the state and Sasikala will play an important role in elections and in forming the next government. In what has become a major revelation, Dhinakaran's announcement had shocked the ADMK leaders amid building the political system under them that would contain the rise of Sasikala.

Dhinakaran stated that Sasikala is the general secretary of ADMK and she can't be removed from the post. By citing that the legal efforts are on to capture and bring ADMK under her full control as the general secretary, Dhinakaran reiterated that Sasikala will play a big role to form the next ADMK government. Commenting about ADMK's actions of expelling the members for showing support for Sasikala, Dhinakaran said that the chemical changes are begun in the state ahead of Sasikala's arrival.

Dhinakaran's assertion that Sasikala would form the next government had shocked the ADMK leaders who are incessantly carrying out the drive of removing the party members for supporting Sasikala. ADMK rulers Edappadi Palaniswami and Panneerselvam are staying extremely vigil and are not sparing any of the party members who show their support to Sasikala as they are hoping to build a fortress around ADMK controlled by them to contain Sasikala's political comeback into the party.
