The highly action-packed Viruman is all set to entertain its OTT audience after a successful theatrical run. Muthaiya's directorial Viruman was released in theatres on August 12 and had commercial success at the box office as it collected around 53 crores.
Renowned director Shankar's daughter Aditi debuted through this film and got a good reception. Karthi played the lead role in this rustic action entertainer while Yuvan Shankar Raja's background score won hearts even before the movie's release. Nearly a month after its theatrical release, Viruman is now been packed to reach the audience directly through its OTT release.
Amazon Prime Video has bagged the rights to release Viruman and the movie will get streamed from September 11. Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Prime Video wrote, "blazing through your feed with all the right emotions. Viruman on Prime, Sept 11." It is pertinent to note that the satellite rights of the movie have been sold to Star Vijay.
Viruman is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyothika under their banner 2D Entertainment. Through Viruman, Karthi collaborated with Muthaiyah for the second time after Komban. While Karthi played the lead role, Aditi Shankar, Raj Kiran, Prakash Raj, Saranya Ponvannan, Soori, Karunas, Bharathiraja, RK Suresh, and Singampuli played important roles.
Sharing Viruman's OTT release, actor Karthi took to Twitter and wrote, "A story that'll give you just the right mix of all the emotions. Viruman on Prime, Sept 11 only on Prime Video." On Tuesday, 2D Entertainment celebrated the 25th day of Viruman's successful theatrical run. The maker tweeted, "25 Successful days. We thank the audience for all the love and support!."
