Viral : Vijay Sethupathi's next with these prowess director and composer! Here's what we know

The musical maestro AR Rahman is all set to join hands with the versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi for the second time in a new film directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Mysskin. The film, which is yet to be titled, will be produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu’s V Creations, one of the leading production houses in Tamil cinema.

AR Rahman and Vijay Sethupathi have previously worked together in director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, a multi-starrer crime thriller that was released in 2018. They are also collaborating on another project, ‘Gandhi Talks’, a silent film that is expected to release soon.

Mysskin, known for his unconventional and dark films, revealed in an interview earlier in May, that he has written a script for Vijay Sethupathi and now reports have confirmed that the project will go on floors next month. The director has also roped in AR Rahman to compose the music for the film, which is said to be a different genre from his usual style.

Vijay Sethupathi, who is fondly called as Makkal Selvan by his fans, has also played a cameo role in Mysskin’s upcoming horror film ‘Pisasu 2’, which is a sequel to his 2014 hit ‘Pisasu’. The actor is currently busy with multiple projects in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.

The new film with AR Rahman and Mysskin is expected to be a treat for the fans of both the music composer and the actor, who have proved their mettle in their respective fields. The film will also mark the first collaboration between Mysskin and AR Rahman.
