Fans are eagerly waiting for his upcoming film ‘Jailer’, which is touted to be a Pan-Indian actioner directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The film has an ensemble cast of top iconic actors from divergent linguistic space, such as Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, and Mohanlal. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked with Rajinikanth in ‘Petta’ and ‘Darbar’.
Now the exciting news about the first single from the film, which is expected to be released soon. As per the latest report from the Times of India, the upcoming movie 'Jailer' will feature a celebration song as its first single, where Rajinikanth will be seen dancing alongside more than 200 artists. The song is also expected to serve as his introduction in the film, where he portrays the character of Muthuvel Pandian.
The composer Anirudh Ravichander is said to be giving the finishing touches to this peppy and catchy number. The makers of the movie are planning to release the first single on a festive occasion, most likely on Tamil New Year which falls on April 14.
Fans of Rajinikanth, who haven't heard anything about the film since the cast was announced, are in for a real treat, and they are also anticipating the film's teaser, which they hope will showcase its promising mix of action, comedy, and drama. ‘Jailer’ marks the first collaboration of Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar, who is known for his films like ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ and ‘Doctor’.
The film’s cinematography is handled by Vijay Karthik Kannan, and editing by R. Nirmal. The film’s shooting began in August 2022 in Chennai and later moved to Cuddalore and Jaisalmer. It seems that Superstar has recently undergone a makeover, sporting a clean-shaven look that has surfaced on the internet. Fans are amazed by the surprise pictures and videos that have been shared from the airport where the superstar departed.
The film’s release date is yet to be announced but speculations from film insiders' claims that the makers are aiming for Diwali 2023 release, and interesting to note that the Ulaganayan's biggie Indian 2 is rumored to be released on the same occasion, a momentous clash the Kollywood to witness this year after Thunivu and Varisu.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is also gearing up for his next projects, which include ‘Lal Salaam’, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, where he plays an extended cameo in a cricket-based story; and an untitled film with ‘Jai Bhim’ fame TJ Gnanavel, where he plays the lead role.
