The sci-fi entertainer Ayalaan, which thrilled audiences with its stunning visuals and action-packed story, is all set to get a sequel. The makers of the film announced the news on their official X handle on Tuesday, January 23. The fans of the film were ecstatic to hear that their favourite alien will be back on the big screen soon.

“An agreement was officially signed on 18th January 2022, to pave the way for a cinematic masterpiece that promises to set new standards in Indian cinema.” the statement read.“As the production gears up for Ayaalan 2, audiences can anticipate the extraordinary visual spectacle that blends the creative brilliance of Sivakarthikeyan and the directorial finesse of R. Ravikumar and the groundbreaking VFX and CGI from PhantomFX.”it added.

The sequel, which is expected to take the story forward and explore the alien’s origin and mission, will be produced by KJR Studios, who also backed the first part. PhantomFX will once again collaborate with the team to create stunning visuals for the sequel.

Sivakarthikeyan, will also reprise their roles and bring their creative brilliance to the project. The rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be revealed, but the fans can expect some surprises and additions to the star-studded lineup.

The sequel is slated to go on floors soon and will be released in 2025.
