Viral story: The title of Sivakarthikeyan's next will remind you of Superstar Rajinikanth's movie!

With a crown of back-to-back commercial hits, actor Sivakarthikeyan has been one of the busiest actors in Kollywood with several projects in his kitty. The popular thespian has the projects of Ayalaan and Prince currently in the pipeline and he is now all set to relish his fans with a brand new project and the first poster of the project has been released.

The new project has been titled 'Maaveeran', which would remind us of Superstar Rajinikanth's movie 'Maaveeran' that hit the big screens in 1986. After the poster was unveiled, the ardent fans of Sivakarthikeyan collaged Rajinikanth and Sivakarthikeyan with the same movie title and look and share it rampantly on social media. 

The new version of Maaveeran will be directed by Madonne Ashwin, who rose to fame through his movie 'Mandela', which was a political satire drama in which Yogi Babu played the lead role. Ashwin is also known for his contribution to the movie 'Kurangu Bommai' helmed by Nithilan Swaminathan. Now, through Maaveeran, Ashwin has joined hands with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. 

The first look video was released by Tollywood star Mahesh Babu on Friday. The actor took to Twitter and wrote, "Happy to unveil the title of Siva Karthikeyan's Maaveeran! Best wishes to the entire team!." The makers made the announcement in a 3-minute short video, where the actor was heavily bumped up by ruggy guys. Later, he was mysteriously roped as a string puppet by a shadow, and followingly he fought back. The title then intriguingly took shape in a comic book theme.

Sivakarthikeyan took to Twitter and released the same and wrote, "Happy to share the announcement video of my next film with Madonne Ashwin and Shanthi Talkies." Expressing his gratitude to Mahesh Babu for releasing the video, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, "This is a great start for the film and to the team...Thank you so much for your kind gesture Mahesh Babu sir...Indeed a very special moment for me sir." 

Kollywood buzz says Kiara Advani or Samantha is to play the female lead in Maaveeran and Mysskin is said to play the antagonist in this film, but not yet officially reported. This new film will be bankrolled by Arun Viswa under the banner of Shanthi Talkies, which is also co-producing Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film, Prince. Sivakarthikeyan has future projects, 'Prince' by KV Anudeep, Ayalaan by R. Ravikumar,  and for the first time, an untitled film under 'Raaj Kamal Films International' by Rajkumar directory in his pipeline. This will be the 51st film of RKFI while the blockbuster movie 'Vikram' was the 50th film.
