Viral story: Major shock for senior DMK MP...Is his son going to join BJP?

When the DMK has been celebrating the party's first-year rule in Tamil Nadu, a senior DMK MP has been bracing up for a shock from his own family as his son is moving toward the rival BJP. The development has been going viral with reports attributing Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai's plan to bring the MP's son to the party.

According to reports, senior DMK MP Tiruchi Siva's son Suriyaa Siva is inching closer to joining BJP. Tiruchi Siva is serving as a Rajya Sabha MP and has been prominent across and beyond the borders for being a stalwart of the Tamil Nadu ruling party. He has been a staunch critic of the BJP's policies and has been a party's spokesperson in Delhi. When the party cadres learned about the development, they have gone stunned.

Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai has been executing a plan to bring the dissenters in the DMK to the BJP. As a part of his plan, the saffron camp is all set to welcome Suriyaa Siva and unveil a shocker to the state ruling party. It has been reported that Suriyaa Siva will be officially joining the BJP soon, in the presence of Annamalai. It would be the BJP's biggest purchase.

The DMK cadres had revealed the ongoing rift between both father and son duo as they are not speaking to each other after Tiruchi Siva had failed to lobby for a big post in the DMK for his son. Suriyaa was demanding a state-level post in the DMK through his father and as his plan was failed, he is not speaking with his father and after a strong consideration, Suriyaa has decided to join the BJP, where he has been assured of an important post.

On the other hand, the sources say that Suriyaa Siva has been taking moves without letting his father know and neither he nor Tiruchi Siva had publicly commented about the development. It has been reported that Suriyaa Siva has also planned to take his followers in DMK to the BJP. The development has come at a high time when the DMK has been celebrating across the state as Chief Minister MK Stalin has marked his first year in office.
