The film Love Today, which was released on November 4 and has received accolades and compliments from stars such as Rajinikanth, Simbu, and other celebrities for the story, direction, and acting of Pradeep Ranganathan, is all set to get cheers from the OTT audience soon. This phenomenal film is an adaptation of Pradeep Ranganathan's own short film, App (a) Lock, which was released in 2014.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, the OTT giant, Netflix India dropped the update quirkily by saying, "Disclaimer: Exchanging phones with your partner might be injurious to your relationship Love Today is coming to Netflix on the 2nd of December!" The film stars Pradeep Ranganathan himself, which is his first acting debut and Ivana plays the female lead. The movie was a second directorial debut for Ranganathan after Comali, starred Jayam Ravi.
Because it explored the impact of social media on relationships in the modern era, the movie was extremely popular among young people. It was a critical and commercial success at the box office, grossing 70 crores against a budget of 5 crores, and it became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2022 and received a decent amount of positive word of mouth.
To determine how well his daughter and her boyfriend know one another, the protagonist's father, played by Sathyaraj, forces her to exchange phones with him. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film's score and music, while Dinesh Purushothaman shot the movie and Pradeep E. Ragav edited it. When Silambarasan and Superstar Rajinikanth praised the film, it was clear that it was a cut above the rest. Furthermore, there have been rumors that Pradeep may collaborate with Thalapathy Vijay.
