Months after announcing their separation, Telugu stars Naga Chaitanya and Samantha had now invited speculations over their reunion, not as a family, but as the pairs in the movie. However, it is less likely that they will act together as the estranged couple has shown no sign of acting together, leaving the director of the movie to find a replacement for Samantha. 

According to reports, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya were supposed to collaborate, ahead of their divorce, with director Nandini Reddy for an upcoming project. Earlier, Nandini Reddy had directed Samantha in the movies 'Jabardasth' (2013) and 'Oh! Baby' (2019)'. While the couple didn't announce their separation, Reddy had sought their collaboration on her project. 

However, the couple had in last October announced that they have decided to part ways, which had left Nandini Reddy in a lurch. After getting divorced, the couple had asserted that they can't act together again following which the director has decided to find a replacement for Samantha, by keeping Naga Chaitanya in the movie. 

As the separated couple had decided not to act together, the reports in the know said that director Nandini Reddy has decided to stick with Naga Chaitanya and she is currently hunting to find a new actress in place of Samantha. Some reports claim that Nandini Reddy is making efforts to reunite Samantha and Chaitanya through her upcoming film. Nandini is very close with Samantha, but the friendship didn't work out here as both the estranged couple are not ready to work together.
